Rushden Primary Academy School, Rushden

JPP’s brief for this project was the design and detailing of a new single storey steel frame school building and associated external works  at Rushden Primary Academy in Northamptonshire.

Challenges included a complex roof structure comprising multiple levels, pitches and construction fabric.  The site was being constructed concurrently with the adjacent housing development and management of surface water tying into site wide drainage proposals was necessary.

Our structures team worked in liaison with adjacent developers to aid construction of foul and surface water drainage outfalls from our site and the construction of new vehicular crossovers.

Surface water management proposals complied with EA guidelines for SUDs and modelling of the structure in REVIT allowed 3D co-ordination with other members of the design team.
