Land at Higham Road, Barton-Le-Clay

Land at Higham Road is a development bringing 500 new dwellings, a primary and secondary school, care facility and public spaces to the village of Barton-le-Clay.

JPP have prepared detailed designs for off-site highway works and coordinated Section 278 applications with Central Bedfordshire Council. The highway works comprise four separate schemes. The site access, including a new compact roundabout, bus stops, pedestrian/cycle routes, and speed limit alterations on Higham Road. Resurfacing of a mini-roundabout within the village. And most notably, upgrades to the two existing roundabouts north and south of the village on the A6 with the northern most roundabout including major reconstruction and reconfiguration with the inclusion of traffic signals.

JPP coordinated all lighting designs, signal designs, safety audits and CBC requirements.
