After joining our Kettering office following the completion of his A-Levels last year, Ov quickly established himself as a valued member of our Highways team. His eagerness to learn, support his colleagues and contribute to the wider business has made a real impact.
One of Ov’s latest ideas was to introduce The JPP Dictionary—a new feature in our internal newsletter that gives colleagues the opportunity to share technical terms and industry jargon that others may not be familiar with. It’s a simple but effective way to encourage knowledge sharing, spark curiosity and help us all learn something new.

“In engineering, an embankment toe (or foot) refers to the point where the inclined slope transitions into the existing flat ground at its base. Identifying the toe is essential when considering slope stability, drainage and earthworks design.”
